My favorite part of the article: "Two troubling themes have recurred of late when the University of Toledo football team squares off against Northern Illinois. The team that is better coached and is led by the better quarterback has come out on top in a series that has stonewalled the Rockets in their quest to take a critical step toward excellence. Both points were validated once more in a 31-24 setback on a frigid Wednesday night in which Northern Illinois continued its superiority over the Rockets to earn a third straight Mid-American Conference West title." RE: Toledo coach disses Tuke After reading the article, I think the writer makes a pretty big jump in logic to allege that Campbell intended to call out Tuke. Now, you could certainly think that he's calling out Tuke since he's an offensive guy, but Campbell's the head coach. To me, he's putting it on their shoulders as a staff. I think Doeren and the NIU staff thoroughly outcoached them, but that's no surprise. they pretty much thoroughly outcoach just about everybody, especially after the half. I just don't think this can manufactured into "Campbell disses staff". It reads more to me like the writer is a butthurt Toledo fan who is falling back on 7's favorite cliche of "halftime adjustments" to explain why NIU is a faster, stronger, tougher program right now.

The team with the best pitcher usually has a chance to win. The team with the best goalie usually has a chance to win. The girl with the best.....ooops, sorry to our female listeners but I think ya get the point. Having the "best" QB in any conference gives that team a chance to win. So your saying your QB sucks.....YEAH!!!!! I read ya.

RE: Toledo coach disses Tuke I can't believe a College head coach would throw one of his assistants under the bus like that. Very unprofessional and his youth and inexperience shows. Tuke, it's best you get outta there asap. Perhaps we will have an opening for you back here next year. Not to mention he throws his QB under the bus when he is sitting at a press conference a few feet from him. If I'm Terrance Owens, I'm outta there as well. Perhaps the UT program should begin searching for a new coach if this is the kind of way this guy talks to the press. He obviously is not mature enough to handle this job and it shows.
